Salzburg Visit Close to Transit

The daily breakfast was very good with fresh bread, meat, cheese, fruits and eggs. The rooms were large with refrigerator and good Wi-Fi access. Also, the separate room with a living room sofa and desk with an attached balcony was a nice touch. Would recommend staying here.

Bathtub shower was difficult getting in and out. A shower stall might have been a better setup for space requirements.

A wonderful stay in a top-class pension

Breakfast was excellent. It included very fresh ingredients and a variety of food including homemade desserts. The fruit salad in particular was very fresh and included a multiple number of fruit. Location also was very good as the pension is located in a quiet area, a short walk from the old town. Public transportation is another choice to get into the city centre and the quality of the service was very good. The owner of the pension was very helpful in providing information regarding the various sights. I would definitely choose the same pension if I had another chance to visit the beautiful city of Salzburg.

In my opinion there is nothing to improve. The wifi was some times experiencing breaks in service but this is a minor thing in comparison to all the positive points.

Wish I could come back and stay again!

Such a lovely stay. A family run business with that classic bnb feel. Only a 20 minute walk to the city centre or you can take the bus that’s right down the road. The breakfast was fresh with a great selection. I stayed at a couple different places in Salzburg because I kept extending my stay, this place was my favourite

we only spent one night but the stay was comfortable, clean, relaxing. I would recommend Haus Katrin

room size perfect for 2 people. Modern and new furniture and room equipment. Unless its raining, the location is really close to old city center, 10 min on foot. Breakfast very nice with adequate choices.

for those extra hot days, it would be nice to have an AC unit in the rooms. Our room was on second floor and could be reached only by stairs. This was not a problem for me and my wife but mentioning it in case someone has a leg injury or disability.

A very nice experience

I liked everything about this hotel. Safe and quiet location, good for solo travellers like myself. You can walk to the city centre (15 min), or take a bus (the nearest bus stop is just 2 minutes away from the hotel). It’s nice that breakfast is included.

The accomodation is located next to the city centre of Salzburg. Public transport is also available in 100m. Quiet, calm place with clear rooms. Staff is friendly and helpful.

The host Sandra was amazing even accepted my luggage when room wasn't ready as I had arrived 4hrs before time. Clean and spacious room and bathroom and breakfast had a great selection of cheese, meats, bread, cereal, fruit and juices as well as tea and coffee. Walking distance to the city too. 100% recommend pension katrin

Visitor's impressions.

Nice and quiet, very spacious room, very clean. Nice breakfast. Very impressed that my room had tea and coffee making facilities, small fridge plus a beer and wine glass provided. While I did not use the mini bar, there is a Spar close by where if you wish you can stock up on beverages and snacks. Very gracious, multi lingual, friendly and helpful hostess in Sandra,. Location is within walking distance of the OldTown and there is an excellent bus service.

While the TV had a few international English language News Channels, it would have been nice to have one or two more channels in English to give more variety and choice.. However, this is a small point as my main reason was to sightsee and visit the many places of interest., not to watch TV!

Very Good

Salzburg has an amazing public transport. It's really easy to get anywhere with a bus. The pension was two minutes away from the bus stop going to the centre (you would arrive in the centre in less than 10 minutes), and going the other way to Hellbrunn and the mountain. The staff were amazing, they offered a good selection for breakfast and held my bag on my last day, as I was leaving very late.

As I was travelling alone, it was quite expensive for my pocket. Having said that, it was totally worth it.

Comfortable and cosy stay with a nice breakfast spread.

Friendly staff and accommodating to my travels like packing breakfast to eat on my day trips out of Salzburg. Really like the spread that they have for breakfast. It is on the quieter side of Salzburg so it has a nice country side feel to it. Quite easy to navigate around the area. There is a nearby supermarket but closes early so need to plan ahead of time.

Do take note that there is no elevator so not suitable for big luggage. Staff was kind enough to carry my luggage up the flight of stairs. If you are doing day trips out of Salzburg and using the public transport, need to plan the time to leave in advance as it is not very close to the train/bus station.
